The University of Manitoba EcoMotion Eco-marathon Team
First Year
EcoMotion's first year of operation resulted in more success that one could even imagine. Not only did Waskotepyiw pass technical inspection, but it placed 14th and was the top competing Canadian team in the category.
Learning and improving
With a year of knowledge to grow from the team made a new design which accomplished 10th place and was once again the top competing Canadian team in the category
A Category Switch up
This year the team worked to enter into a different category which focuses on a design that could be used in regular traffic, equipped with workings lights and wind shield wipers.
Back Again
Our first post covid competition in which we worked to increase our members and increase team knowledge. We built off of and improved the prairie wind design achieving 11th place with 40.3mi/kWh
New Build
This year we took what we had learned and applied it to a bran new design. We welded the frame ourselves and made use of 3D printing to fit together the body. We also made our own battery!
